Joshua D. for After the Bees

Allison Paige’s imagery and dialogue in the book physically put me into the story. I picked this book up and could not put it down until I was at the end and begging for a sequel. The characters are written so well they felt like friends to me. She does a great job of writing the “evil” characters in a way that keeps you thinking they could have good intentions for what they’re doing, but then destroying that thought while still leaving you caring for them in a sick twisted way. There are several layers to this book if you’re willing to peel them back and think on them. Certainly a must read for a book group or two friends to read and discuss!

LOVED IT! The main characters are great, you can't help but love Leah and there is a major love/hate feeling for Raum. There was enough romance aspect to keep me wondering if something would unfold between them, which I loved. The book definitely kept me hooked, anxious to find out what would happen next! It fits into so many different genres, it's a great read for anyone!

After The Bees

In "After the Bees", Allison Paige weaves an exhilarating tale that will have you captivated from start to finish. The story is well written and pulls the reader in from the very first line. She also manages to have a cast of characters that are at once loved and also hated. I found myself personally invested in the well being of the ones I loved but also somehow rooting for the bad guy. I'm excited to read more from Ms. Allison Paige.

Could not put this down once I started reading it! This is a pretty dark story, but realistic in plot and characters. Allison Paige took a religious theory and expanded on it with a realistic approach on what it would be like to be a human in a demons post-apocalyptic world. Did I mention the spice? No? Well, tis spicy my dear friends! I look forward to the next 2 books!
